Ron, thank you for sharing your ideas. For my first novel attempt, your idea feels too big to take on. I agree with you that it can be excellent back story...or perhaps a larger story arc for a series :-) I like that idea!

The first thing that jumped out at me was a young man/woman who has made a discovery that they are very passionate about. They want to share their new found knowledge with the world and set out on a life altering journey. In every instance dismissed, they decide that the world is either unworthy or simply not ready to become aware. They become a recluse, ignoring time while they wait for the right opportunity. The problem is that time waits on no man/woman. Age bests them and they are ultimately forced to re-enter the world to seek out an apprentice. Little did they know that they were being sought as well. On the other side of the world, another young individual has become similarly enlightened. The pair are bound by karma and have met many times and in every incarnation. Blind to the existence of eachother until the present. Now they are pulled to eachother, albeit unwittingly, and as their paths cross, so will the seekers find them together. They must trust eachother and learn how to combine their knowledge to defeat the opposition.

I suppose some of this may work as a back story or some kind of subplot. Maybe the culmination taking place in your characters town will witness the finality of this pairs actions. Anyway, that is what I have. I hope it was helpful to you in some way shape or form. I apologize for the vaguery. I have been awake for a very long time now. Just couldn't resist checking in on you before the head hits the bed though. Best of luck in NaNoWRiMo.

Love and light,

the things that came to mind from your writings and images were that the meeting could be a G-20 summit, and the hermit of the ending was an anarchist/protester/organizer...
I am always fascinated by your insights and creativity.

If you can feed off of this, then please do (and if not, then I apologize).

The first reaction I had to this particular three card spread was: Luke Skywalker (from the movie Star Wars).

[On a side note: as far as feel or theme goes, this strikes me as a "good" or fortunate spread that most people would not mind if they had to live it.]

So we first meet our hero(ine), full of limitless possibilities for whom nothing is impossible.

The world, and especially one's place in it, is now known. One is able to see the big picture and both benefit from a guru and in turn in the process becoming one.

[The only card missing to seal this for me as a "Luke Skywalker" spread would be the insertion of the 5 of Cups here: years of self-mastery.]

One has sought counsel of the wise and heeded their wisdom. Now one embodies that wisdom and can serve as a guide for others.

[Our young Luke is now a Jedi.]

Looks good Barbara! You're a lot farther along than I am for NaNoWriMo.. and thanks for the inspiration. I need to get out my decks and choose a couple for this project. But, first.. Halloween!
