Safe Travels Tarot Spell

Many of us will be traveling over the holiday season, so I thought I’d share another way to use your tarot cards: to cast a Safe Travel Spell.

This one is from Donald Michael Kraig’s Tarot Magic.

For a safe travel spell, you would use the God and Goddess candles, the candle for your birth sign, and the candle for the day on which you are doing the ritual (see below for color correspondences). Also use a candle for the astrological sign during which you are traveling, one for the day you begin your trip, and a dark blue candle to represent travel in general.

Add one or more of the following candles:

Light blue: health and safety

Green: financial success

Orange: if you are going to encourage others to do a better job

Red: if you are looking for romance or passion on the trip

Select a tarot card that represents your trip, such as The Chariot, The Fool, the 6 of Wands, or one of the Knights.

You can write your words or use these (modify if you wish):

Asia, Africa, India, France

Australia, America, Europe

I dance between continents, fly between states.

Let my trip be pleasant and safe.

Candle colors

Aries: red

Taurus: red-orange

Gemini: orange

Cancer: amber

Leo: greenish-yellow

Virgo: yellowish-green

Libra: green

Scorpio: greenish-blue

Sagittarius: blue

Capricorn: indigo

Aquarius: violet

Pisces: dark red

Monday: white

Tuesday: red

Wednesday: orange

Thursdsay: blue

Friday: green

Saturday: black

Sunday: yellow
