Welcome to our official entry into summer! Today’s quote for consideration:
“Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass on a summer day listening to the murmur of water or watching the clouds float across the sky, is hardly a waste of time.”
- John Lubbock
In our busy lives this can be easy to comprehend, but hard to practice. How might you make a point to celebrate these first official days of summer?

Angela, I think your blog posts are wonderful—something to look forward to reading each week. Thank you!
I plan to usher in summer by filling some planters with blooming annuals and putting them around the doors of my house. Also, I have a lovely wind chime that makes it a pleasure to have the windows open ~ fresh breezes wafting in along with musical tinklings (is that a word?).
