Since I couldn't find a "falling" picture and I missed a post for the official first day of fall, this is my tie to both.
Today’s quote for consideration:
“A fall from the third floor hurts as much as a fall from the hundredth. If I have to fall, may it be from a high place.
-Paulo Coelho
With my logical mind turned on, I initially scoffed at this quote. Of course falling from higher up is going to hurt more! When I finally heard it in my heart it resounded as entirly true. Too often I shelter myself from positive connection and experience “just in case” things go bad, so I don’t have to experience the fall. Of course, if there was no fall to be had, I’ve created my own by missing the good.  Â
What do you percieve from this quote? Is this a helpful reminder for you? Why? Share your thoughts! For more information on what these Mindful Moments are all about, see the original post here.

From a physical perspective one would probably die from the three story fall and would most certainly die from 100 stories. The former will just occur sooner than the latter. From a Spiritual perspective one should consider the lessons learned and the views seen from having reached such a lofty vantage point. The fall would certainly be painful. However, I think the remembrance of exhilaration attained from completing a 100 story Journey would be incentive enough for recovery and mounting the steps again. I like the quote.
