Introduction. The intention for this technique is to use an OBE to re-experience selected past-life origins of traumas that have negative effects in the current like by viewing them objectively, free of physical reaction. Approximately one hour should be allowed for the procedure, which is conducted in a quiet setting, free of distractions with the subject resting in a comfortable, reclining position and hands resting to the sides. Here is the procedure:

Step 1. Preliminary Considerations. Before inducing the out-of-body state, formulate your goals as specifically as possible. Examples are: I will use astral projection to discover any past-life source of the fear that has troubled my life. (Note the reference to "the fear" rather than "my fear," thus disowning the phobia while recognizing its existence and distressing effects.)

Step 2. Out-of-body Induction. Induce the appropriate out-of-body state by applying Steps 1 and 2 of Astral Plane Therapy.

Step 3. Crystalline Encasement. While remaining suspended over your physical body, surround yourself with radiant astral energy by envisioning yourself safely encased in a protective, crystalline sphere. Affirm:

"I am protected and empowered mentally, physically, and spiritually by the highest forces of the cosmos. As I travel to higher astral planes, I will remain encased in a powerful cosmic sphere of energy. I will be accompanied by astral guides who will shield me and direct my flight."

Step 4. Experiencing Higher Astral Planes. At this step, the ascent to higher planes is initiated by envisioning the astral realm with its bright array of planes. From this point, allow the astral journey to unfold under the direction of higher guides as you remain encased in the crystalline sphere. (Many out-of-body travelers report that the cosmic sphere not only functions as a space travel craft, it amplifies the empowerment frequencies of higher astral planes as well.) Once you arrive at your astral destination, therapeutic interactions can occur within the crystal sphere under the direction of astral teachers and guides. The sphere may, on the other hand, open up to permit very direct, therapeutic interactions outside the sphere.

Step 5. Experiencing the Origin of the Fear. With the help of higher astral guides, you are now empowered to experience relevant past-life events, either as realistic projections on the inner surface of the crystalline sphere, or as an active participant outside the sphere in an astral re-creation of the past events. Experiencing your past at this step of the procedure is like participating in an exciting theater production under the direction of skilled specialists. Although facing the origins of our fears, even in the company of caring guides, can be at first painful and disturbing, the resulting enlightenment and liberation can be permanent and profound.

Step 6. Re-engaging the Biological body. Your return to the physical body, like other steps of the procedure, is helped by the ministering guides who are accompanists throughout the experience. Once in the presence of your body, slipping from the astral sphere and back into your physical body is typically smooth and effortless. Upon re-uniting with your body, note the serenity permeating your being, and then affirm:

"I am fully empowered and free of fear. My life is enriched and constantly energized by the limitless resources of the higher cosmic planes."

Summary of Purpose & User Benefits: This OBE allows the user to explore past-life experiences and overcome the negative effects and memories of unresolved issues.
