High Magic: A form of magic that evolved in cities. Cities tended to be in higher locations to help water and sewer drainage and improve defensive abilities. The term “high” relates to the location of its origin and does not imply superiority in any way, although some people have attempted to give it that definition. High Magic(k) is typified by more involved rituals and elaborate tools than are regularly found in the practice of Natural or Low Magic.
