| DEFINITIONS |
Ka: One of the three parts of the soul according to ancient Egyptian belief. A person must have all three parts to live, and if one part died they all died. The Ka is the astral double of a person, animal, or thing. It is physically and emotionally identical to the person and given to him or her at birth. In Egyptian symbolism it was depicted as a person with both arms raised or just two raised arms.Donald Michael Kraig
