| DEFINITIONS |
Archangels: The prefix “arch” means chief, principal, or most important. Consequently, archangels are among the most important angels. According to the Book of Revelation there are seven archangels. The Koran recognizes four archangels but names only two: Djibril (Gabriel) and Raphael, and Uriel are the best-known archangels.
