Ideo-Motor Activity: Motion produced as a result of an idea without the use of conscious thought. The most common experience of Ideo-Motor Activity is when using a pendulum. A person thinks about a question and the unconscious mind gives an answer expressed through the pendulum without needing the conscious mind to direct the pendulum.
