Term: Michael
Michael: (“Who is like God”) This archangel is considered to be the greates angel in Christianity, Islam, and Judaism. This is not surprising, as Michael is God’s most important warrior angel, who fights for everything that is good, honorable and righteous. Michael is Ruler of the Order of Virtues, Chief of the Archangels, Prince of the Presence, and Angel of Repentance. Michael threw Satan out of heaven after the battle between the good and evil angels. Michael also has the task of accompanying souls back to heaven after physical death. Michael is often shown carrying scales, as he has the important task of weighing souls to determine their worthiness at the Last Judgment. source: Praying with Angels, by Richard Webster Michael: Archangel of the South and of elemental Fire. source: Modern Magick, by Donald Michael Kraig
