Publicity Department Intern  The publicity department is offering an unpaid internship designed to introduce qualified students to the world of book publicity.
Publicity interns will apply their public relations skills and knowledge while working closely with members of the publicity department to design and implement campaigns for the titles in our catalogs. These duties may include: generating media lists, writing pitch letters, designing promotional material, coordinating mailings of galleys and other materials, database maintenance, tracking and logging reviews, and creating press kits. Interns will also assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, photocopying, and assorted support duties. Depending on workload, interns may receive an opportunity to oversee the campaign of a title.
We are currently accepting applications for our Summer internship period. Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited educational program to be eligible and must be able to commit to 10 – 15 hours per week for up to 10 weeks.

Publicity Manager  Llewellyn’s publicity department is in search of a manager to lead a group of five great individuals. This is a hands-on opportunity for a creative and experienced publicity manager. You’ll be able to work on a handful of your own publicity campaigns as well as direct the activities of the department for a growing list of 120 new non-fiction and fiction titles each year spread across three imprints. You must be an energetic, motivated person able to address multiple needs at any given time. BA/BS and 2 years of publicity or media experience, with one year of staff supervision experience required.

Production Artist  Llewellyn has an opportunity for a Macintosh Production Artist to be responsible for layout and print preparation of a variety of printed and web-based materials including catalogs, flyers, ads, promotional materials. Applicants must have 3 years experience using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator with emphasis on catalog layout and print production. While not a design position, the ideal candidate must be aware of design principles (print and web), be detail oriented, and highly organized.
