The Harmonic Concordance, a Time of Enlightenment and Letting Go

This article was written by Isabelle Ghaneh
posted under Astrology

Right now the world stands ready to receive a great spiritual gift from the universe. After the conflict and trouble of the last several years, staring with the Grand Cross in August 1999 and continuing with the Saturn/Pluto opposition of 2001, we are now being given a great reward. The November 8, 2003 Lunar Eclipse at 16 degrees of Taurus brings with it several positive, once in a lifetime aspects, brimming over with positive energy.

First, the eclipse itself is one of the best of the Saros series of eclipses. An eclipse series has a history behind it, bringing forth either positive or negative energy. This one is positive. All the best of Taurus energy is flowing in and around this eclipse. Taurus is ruled by Venus, the planet of love and harmony. Taurus is concerned with the issues of relationships, money, real estate, beauty and the greenery of the earth. Taurus is the gardener of the zodiac, the one who plants her garden and then waits and watches it grow. Now is a great time to plant some seeds and wait for them to shoot up.

In addition, a Grand Sextile is in place on eclipse day. A sextile is an aspect of 60 degrees between two planets. It is a harmonious aspect, with the energy flowing lightly along. A Grand Sextile, which is beautiful to see in the chart of the day, is in essence a series of points, somewhat like Christmas lights, all hooked up to each other and all plugged into the same socket. It is an array of lovely colorful points of light.

Looking closer at this astrological pattern, a Star of David emerges. A Star of David is caused by two inverted Grand Trines. The earth and water signs are highlighted in this aspect, as in the Grand Sextile aspect. Thus the energy being released this day is all about stability, emotion, feeling, intuition and being grounded. The earth and water signs are feminine in nature. That means they are considered to be fertile, receptive to others and to life around them. A masculine sign is considered to be more action oriented, more intent on doing than anything else. And that's fine for certain times and places. But not today.

Today is a time that a lot and I do mean a lot of spiritual inner work can take place if you allow it to. Right now the universe is opening up the heavens and allowing us a respite from all the trouble and stress we have been seeing around us the past couple of years. The war, terrorism, the political shenanigans taking place in the white house, and all the economic troubles have left many people feeling stretched to the core right now, and at the breaking point. Now here comes this brief respite from the travails of the world we deal with on a daily basis.

But what does that mean for you, personally. How can you use this energy for yourself, and in what way? First take note of where 16 degrees of Taurus is in your natal chart. This is a turning point for whatever house is being eclipsed. If it were the seventh house, it means a time of healing and new growth can come in any partnership issues you have, since the seventh house rules both partnerships and open enemies. Just for some examples of the situations I am talking about, if you had a business and your partner ran off with the money, or a bitter divorce. All those discordanant feelings you can choose to be lifted from you. Do this consciously with meditation, close your eyes and see the situation lifting from yourself and floating off to the stratosphere. Put it to rest once and for all and for yourself. Let it go, just let it go. A third house problem could be a sibling you haven't spoken to in years, or a problem you had with a neighbor who took you to court. You never have to get in touch with these people and you might not have seen them for years, but set aside time this day to finally let any and all bitterness flow out of you and make a new start within yourself to let those feelings go. The universe will help you today, you only need to be willing.

With the energy of the Eclipse, the Grand Sextile and the Star of David all on this one day, and coming from the receptive fruitful signs, it is time to grow your own garden . A garden of peace and inner contentment for yourself.
