Initiation and the Path of the Shamanic Witch
Date: 2010-10-04   By: Gede Parma
For the past five years, Gede Parma (author of By Land, Sky & Sea and Spirited) has focused on what he believes to be the underlying or core teachings of Witchcraft. This foundation is essentially shamanic, meaning our cosmologies relate to a manifold expression (generally threefold) of realms, and we may travel between and through them in order to learn, change, deepen, and grow. In the process we actualize our divinity, become Gods amongst Gods, and interact with the world as alive and magickally potent. The enabling factor is of course initiation. Here, Gede Parma explains how we reach this point of understanding.

It is possible, however, to provide these plants with the respect and honor they deserve. Lupa, author of the new Plant and Fungus Totems, presents five ways we can honor our plant and fungi friends while still interacting with them.

Looking Back, Moving Forward
Date: 2008-06-16   By: Kate West
Every so often in life something happens which makes you stop and take stock of life. An event, perhaps small, perhaps large, comes along and forces the mind to take a pause from daily concerns, to reassess priorities and to re-evaluate ourselves. Kate West, author of The Real Witches' Craft and The Real Witches' Handbook, discusses her journey of looking back and moving forward.

Name one religion or type of spiritual system that doesn't incorporate music into its worship services in some way. It's not easy, is it? From singing hymns to beating drums, and from the rhythmic chanting of prayers to the soaring organ fugues of Bach, music is a spiritual tool that connects mind and body to the divine spirit. While country... read this article
