The Arthurian legend has fascinated and enchanted the Western world for centuries. It is our strongest and most compelling myth, embodying the romantic ideals of chivalry, bravery, and justice, as well as the quest for goodness and truth, the tragedy and ecstasy of love, and the unconquerable spirit's victory over death.

Anna-Marie Ferguson's A Keeper of Words is your key to accessing this myth by way of her storytelling and imagery as found in her Legend Tarot (available separately). But even without the deck, this book will help you discover not only the mysteries and secrets of the Arthurian myths, but also layers of interpretation in the Tarot which you may have not known about before.

There are actually four sets of myths which make up the Arthurian legend: The Celtic legends, the early chroniclers, the medieval romances, and the Quest for the Holy Grail. Here you will find them united in a way that makes the cycles of myths easy to follow and understand.

The keys to this are the seventy-eight images which illustrate scenes or characters from the myths. These illustrations, reproduced here in black-and-white, match the number of cards in a standard Tarot deck, and each image is associated with one of the cards.

For example, you will learn that the 17th card of the Major Arcana, the Star, is associated with the Firedrake. This is "the Dragon of Comets" and it heralds the promise of a new era. The Two of Spears (wands) is associated with Bedivere and Kay, two of Arthur's oldest and most trusted friends who devised plans for progress. By using this book, you will discover seventy-eight insights into the legend of Arthur.

This book is also about the Tarot. So, for each of the images you will also learn the meanings of the card in an upright and reversed position. Using this information, along with the symbolism of the mythic imagery, you will find new and remarkable insights into your use of the Tarot for divination.

In order to make sure the book is a complete reference for both Tarot and the Arthurian legend, it begins with an analysis of both. First you will learn about the nature of the Tarot, then about the spirit of the legend of Arthur. Of course, you will also need to know how to use a deck of Tarot cards, so you will learn three Tarot spreads that you can use.

A Keeper of Words unlocks the archetypes within Arthurian legend and adds another layer of interpretive context to the Tarot. It taps the power of both to open new doorways into your psyche and awaken the visionary in you. For it is in this book that the powerful Arthurian myth has been seamlessly joined with the rich symbolism of the Tarot, enriching both. Context and direction are added to the deck by way of the Arthurian drama, and the traditional meanings of the cards are reinforced by the depiction of their compatible Arthurian guise. The blending of traditional Tarot symbolism with Pagan and Christian symbolism has created a divinatory system which is infinitely rich and inspiring. Get your copy today.

Of the many esoteric subjects studied by ceremonial magicians, alchemy is often considered one of the hardest and most arcane, while the tarot is thought to be one of the most accessible and "hands-on." Historically the language of alchemy, with its inscrutable riddles and metaphor, has baffled many students, while the images of the tarot are more... read this article
