Sabine Rose's life seems to be falling into place at her new high school. In part 2, Last Dance, she had to leave the last one and come to live with her grandmother because she predicted another student's death. Unfortunately, the witch ball she acquired at the end of the last installment has shown up at the cheerleaders' fundraiser. The predictions her friend Manny made as a pretend fortuneteller are starting to come true. On top of that, things are not going well with her boyfriend Josh, but they are heating up again with Dominic. And they still haven't found the cure for her grandmother's illness. Just tingly and otherworldly enough to keep 'em hooked. The cool cover will help draw new readers and maintain those already into the series. --KLIATT, March 2006
