Seal the Sun

Color of the day:  White
Incense of the day:  Lily

Using six orange, six yellow, and six white candles, invoke solar energy into the wax by carving varying symbols for the Sun. Carefully anoint each candle with frankincense essential oil. Roll the candles in powdered myrrh when done to symbolize the innate solar energy. Set the candles to burn in a circle. As they illuminate the space, use the following prayer to draw the last power of the Sun for the long, dark days of winter:
Our Father Sun
Who art in the heavens,
Hallowed be all your names
Thy kingdom come
That my will be done
On Earth as it is in heaven.
Give me this day
My daily bread
And deliver me from selfishness
That it may not consume me
Fill me now Lord of Light
With all your golden essence that
Winter may not claim me
For I am a child of the SUN.
Do not extinguish the candles, letting them burn down slowly instead. Place solar objects and yellow clothing near the candles to absorb the light. Should winter depression find you, merely seek out these objects and meditate clearly on this spell.
