LLEWELLYN'S SPELL-A-DAY

Death Card Tarot Mediation

Color of the day:  Yellow
Incense of the day:  Honeysuckle

The number thirteen has been severely maligned in popular culture and by many "mainstream" religions. However, it is a sacred number to Witches, and in honor of this being the thirteenth day of the month, here is a meditation using
the thirteenth major arcana card of the tarot.
Pull the Death card from your favorite tarot deck, then place the card on your altar and light your favorite meditation incense. Meditate upon the Death card's meaning: radical change, rebirth, the old giving way to the new. The calendar year is now more than half over. What changes have you experienced or are you currently undergoing? What will be the new growth from the death
of the old? Change can be difficult and sometimes painful; however, it is important to recognize its affirmative effects. When finished, journal about
your experience.
