A Charm for Patience

Color of the day:  Brown
Incense of the day:  Sage

Who among us couldn't use a little patience? This charm will help you work toward that end.

Use a handkerchief or a piece of cotton fabric-choose blue, gray, or white if possible. Write the word "Patience" on the cloth. Top with a few hawthorn berries, chamomile leaves, or rose petals. Fold the cloth around the contents four times and pin closed with a large safety pin. Tie a string or ribbon around the bundle and pin, fastening it with four square knots. Last but not least, link four paper clips together in a chain, then fasten the chain to the bundle. Repeat:

"Patience fleeting, patience how?
Give me practice with patience now!"

Keep this charm with you to help you be patient, or give it to someone else who would benefit from it. Undoing it would take some work; thus, patience is encouraged.
