Represents the positive forces or assets in the querent's favor. If this card should happen to be a negative card, it indicates the nature of an obstacles that is hindering progress. (The card in this position is always interpreted in its upright manner.)

Meaning: When animal instinct within is channeled it can empower, motivating courageous and liberating feats. If the primitive, instinctive nature is not integrated but allowed to rule, behavior becomes reckless, and at times self-destructive. This leads to the more traditional interpretation of this card: violence, controlling relationships, promiscuity, and drug use.
