He presents 56 theater games and dramatic techniques that can be practiced alone or in a group setting. Readers are encouraged to ask questions of the cards and the stories they tell.

Instead of simply learning the meanings of cards, why not interview the figures; ask them where they went to school, what they studied, who their heroes are. Create living tableaus of the cards and see what new meanings come up for you. There’s also a section at the end of the book that gives the basic meanings for the cards so this information can be added to what you learn from the dramatic and playful exercises in the book. Bringing the Tarot to Life does just that and is a valuable addition to the world of this much-loved spiritual tool.
