Automatic Writing

Color of the day:  Maroon
Incense of the day:  Ginger

Writing is an important activity for Witches. We write spells and meditations in our grimoires to formulate blessings. Today is World Writing Day, so let's tap into the energy afoot across the globe and do the following.

Grab your favorite pen. This could be a gel, fountain, reed, Sharpie, or regular pen. Even a pencil will work fine and produce magickal results.

You'll need a piece of magickal paper (handmade, papyrus, parchment, or kraft paper—you name it!).

Set the pen on the paper. Imagine yourself writing out your intention for the day, as you wave your hands or wand above the paper, with your eyes shut. Do this for several minutes.

Pick up your writing tool and see what comes to you as you write about your intention. This is called automatic writing, and it is an ancient form of witchery.
