In making fresh beginnings and renewing the self, old wounds must first be healed. Water magic performed on the beach is a potent means of washing away the past to make room for the new to enter. Gather one seashell, a handful of white flowers, and a flask of wine. Take them to the seashore, and wait for the waves to roll up. Hold the shell and flowers in your outstretched hands, and ask for the Sun's blessing. Drink a toast to the ocean and the Sun. If performing this spell at night, toast the Moon and ask for her blessing instead. Sit on the sand at the water's edge holding the seashell and flowers as you make a solemn resolution to release past grievances. Hurl the shell and flowers into the ocean while bidding the past goodbye. Pour some wine at the water's edge to honor the guardians of the oceans. Say some words of thanks and walk away without looking back.
