Shavuot is a minor Jewish holiday, one of the three pilgrimage observances. It comes seven weeks after Passover. One of its themes is thankfulness for finding oneself in a safe and sacred place. This is just one more step in our soul's goal of reuniting with the supreme creator. This ritual spell will take you into the deepest part of yourself so higher spirits can give you hints about where you should be going spiritually or about how to get back on your path when your energies have scattered. (Note to covens: This spell is perfect for group use too, especially if you have a labyrinth or maze to work with.) To start, find a safe, quiet place. Sit comfortably on the floor or in a chair. Lie down only if you're sure you can stay awake. In your mind imagine yourself entering a labyrinth or maze. You are alone but unafraid. Approach the center with confidence. At the center is a huge cauldron. It's literally twice as tall as you, and you notice there is a door on the side facing you. Open the door and enter. You are now in the realm of spirit. Feeling like Alice in her rabbit hole, begin to explore. Listen to the deities and spirits you trust for guidance. You may hear some-one speaking to you, or you may see flashes of scenes, or the run of an entire movie. You may awaken at will. Immediately record any special impressions you remember from your journey.
