Saint Lucy's name means "light" and has the same root as "lucidity." She is a centuries-old Yule goddess who drives out the demons of winter. A tarot reading would be useful today. For best results, dress all in white and wear a traditional red silk ribbon or sash around your waist. Dress your altar in white and burn twelve white candles. Decorate your altar with pictures of eyes. Before you throw your tarot spread, burn a stick of bay incense for the goddess. Say:

Through the darksome night Visions come a-winging.
Lo! ‘Tis the queen of light
Joyfully singing.
Solstice is drawing nigh
Candles are gleaming|
Welcome are visions
And luminescence.

A clear message should come to you.
