We celebrate our love and relationship with them. Spend a little time with your animal companion, taking and communing. Sing, croon, and express your love to them. Think too of all the other people who have animal companions and love them. Breathe deeply and call on the Goddess as Protector of the Beasts, asking her blessings on your animals and the animals of others. Hoof and claw, Fur and paw. Fin and feather, Love together. Ask for her blessings on this companionship, and for long life, protection, and good health for your companion. Give your animal to her care, and honor her once a year in thanks for your animal's continued life and health. |
