Early Activity Planning

Color of the day:  Yellow
Incense of the day:  Lilac

December may seem like a strange time to celebrate fertility; however, Barbes Diena, a traditional Latvian celebration today, focuses on the fertility of sheep. While generally lambing season occurs in the spring, winter births are not unheard of. Winter is generally seen as a gestation period, and while spring may seem far away, the solstice approaches and the equinox will arrive before you know it! Thus, December is a good month to start planning projects for the upcoming new year. It's also a favorable time for drawing together resources in general, taking stock of what you have and what you need. Spend some time today daydreaming about things you'd like to accomplish in the next year and see what ideas you come up with. Then start making plans to bring these desires into reality. While you may not be able to do much now, early preparation can pay off down the line.
