Memory and Mindfulness

Color of the day:  Black
Incense of the day:  Geranium

Mnemosyne is a goddess of memory and mother to the nine Muses. The ancient Greeks believed that fine and stage arts were gifts from the gods. Artists would invoke the apt Muse for inspiration. Mnemosyne's name comes from the Greek root, "mindful," and is the basis of "mnemonic," a pattern-based memory device, e.g., ROY G. BIV is the color spectrum: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet. Invoke Mnemosyne when seeking mindfulness or stronger memory. Work at dusk, a threshold time when mental acuity is high. Brew peppermint or blueberry tea; burn rosemary incense or smudge; use moonstones, emeralds, fluorite, hematite, or turquoise; work with blue or indigo colors.
Create a mnemonic device, if you wish.
Then call upon Mnemosyne:
Dear Mnemosyne,
Heed my request,
To boost my memory,
Is my behest!
