Last hurrah of Summer Spell

Color of the day:  Purple
Incense of the day:  Jasmine

Although we are constantly reminded of seasonal changes, sometimes we overlook the mundane changes that occur during the year.
At the end of August, we should really acknowledge that an important change occurs when youngsters return to school. School buses affect our driving patterns, and events are scheduled around the school time tables. In recent years, there have been atrocious happenings in schools throughout the country. We can all do our part to protect everyone's children by casting a spell for safety and success for all students.

- Use an embroidery hoop as a base (they come in all sizes).

- Stretch a piece of plan cotton fabric over the frame.

- Select a variety of miniature items to be used for the spell working.

- Hot-glue bay leaves and sprigs of rosemary around the frame.

- Stitch items to the cloth that reflect what you'd see in an average classroom, and please do include an apple for the teacher.

- Make a large hoop for your home and a small hoop for your car, and create your own specific wish for the health, happiness, and protection of our children.
