Apples and Oranges Spell

Fall is a colorful time of year. Use the colors and scents of apples and oranges to cleanse and protect your home during winter months, when doors and windows are closed tightly against winter weather. Use large oranges, or smaller tangerines. Stud them with whole cloves, and then wrap a ribbon around them and use the ribbon to hang them in your kitchen, dining room, living room, and bathroom. Peel and core apples, then roll them in cinnamon powder, lightly coating all the surfaces. Carve the apples to resemble a face. Set them in a dish on window sills throughout the house. As the apples "age," see if they resemble anyone you know. Perhaps an ancestor's face will appear. Ask the fruits to protect your home from illness, pests, and hardship.
