Today happens to be Black Friday. Many shoppers set foot in the world at early hours to fight crowds, prices, and time in order to start, or even perhaps finish, their holiday shopping.
If possible, stay home and use today as a day of sanctuary and respite before December's busy series of holiday events and gatherings. Instead of heading out into the retail-shopping rat race, engage your creative self in crafting a simple homemade gift for a loved one. Make yourself a calming cup of your favorite herbal tea or perhaps a rich cup of hot chocolate to enjoy during the process. Put your energy of love and well wishes for the loved one into the handcrafted gift.
You can also use today to lovingly and innovatively wrap other gifts you already have. Make the day's focus a mini-retreat of sorts for nourishing your creative spirit.
