Beware the Ides of March

Color of the day:  Brown
Incense of the day:  Magnolia

On this historic day of betrayal, do a spell to protect your home from the unknown. This will serve as an early warning system, alerting you to the presence of danger. The result should be that, if danger comes, you'll feel awareness of it; it will keep you from being caught off-guard.
Buy or make a wind chime with a pleasant sound. Anoint the chime with a protective oil, such as clove or juniper.

Send energy into the chime, saying:

"Warning bells keep me alert. I am ever protected, I am ever safe."

Hang the chime near the front door of your home. You can hang the chime with protective herbs such as holly, bay laurel, or garlic.
If you live in an apartment and can't hang chimes in the wind, you can still do this spell using a small decorative bell at the front door.
