POSTED UNDER Summer, Winter

Out with the Old and in with the New!

Color of the day:  Silver
Incense of the day:  Lily

Today marks Koromo-Gaye, the Japanese clothes-changing festival. Today Japanese people put away their heavier winter clothing and bring out and begin wearing lighter summer weight and colored garb. Aside from the practical aspect, this event has deep ritual significance and is often carried out regardless of climate.
Today, in the spirit of "out with the old and in with the new," think of something, wardrobe or otherwise, that isn't currently functionally serving you. Pack it away until such time that it will be of functional use again, or if you won't need the item in the future, pass it along to someone it will be of use to. Now, if you have something of which you have been in need, you have made both the physical and energetic space for it, so look into its acquisition. Afterward, declare:

"Out with the old and in with the new, blessed balance, I honor you!"
