Giving Thanks

Color of the day:  Purple
Incense of the day:  Apricot

Everyone who's read any New Age books knows about that good old "attitude of gratitude." Let's get this ideal grounded on Thanksgiving Day.
First thing in the morning, make a list of five simple things you're grateful for in your life. (You slept well last night. Your shoes and socks are comfortable. That sort of little thing.) After you do your fair share of housecleaning and/or meal preparation, sit down again and add to your list: write five grander things for which you're grateful. (You're not homeless; you live indoors. You always have enough to eat. You have simpatico friends.) Whether you eat your Thanksgiving feast at home with your family or go somewhere for a potluck with friends, take time to tell each person why you're grateful to have him or her in your life. At bedtime, add five more things to your gratitude list. Lest you forget, keep the list on your altar.
