POSTED UNDER Children, Spring, Winter

Happy Imbolc!

Color of the day:  Gray
Incense of the day:  Basil

We are at the halfway point between winter and spring. Today is the feast day of the goddess Brigid. Classic colors for this sabbat include white, purple, and gold. For this particular sabbat, I like to work with lots of candles. The most affordable way to do this is by working with tealights. The following spell calls on Brigid for illumination, creativity, and purpose.
Arrange as many tealight candles as possible in a safe, flat place. Be sure to keep them away from curious pets and small children! Light all of the candles, and as you do say, Blessed be, Brigid, 0r Grant me creativity, or Grant me purpose.
Once the candles are all lit and flickering, repeat this spell verse:

"The great goddess Brigid was known by many names,
Breed, Brigit, and Bride-you are all one and the same.
On this Imbolc sabbat, I call you by candlelight,
Bless me with creativity and purpose this night.
By light and magick, this spell is spun,
For the good of all, with harm to none."

Allow the candles to burn out in a safe place. Happy Imbolc!
