Body Blessings

Color of the day:  Brown
Incense of the day:  Magnolia

Rastafarians believe that the body is a temple. In honor of Bob Marley, musician and Rasta born this day in 1945, invoke a piece of Rastafarian wisdom by consecrating your body as a sacred space.
Bathe and dress yourself in clean, comfortable clothing, then stand in front of a mirror. Gaze into your own eyes, visualizing them as windows in the temple that houses your soul. Using an unprocessed, natural oil such as olive, coconut, sunflower, or hemp, anoint your forehead, heart, the palm of each hand, and your belly and feet, then chant a mantra inspired by Marley's song:

"I love myself. I love my life."

For as long as you can afterward, consume unprocessed, natural foods, drink water, and get enough rest-in other words, clean and refresh your temple. Repeat frequently to love yourself and your life.
