An Uplifting Spell

When heavy thoughts weigh you down, it helps to lighten up. Air magic is perfect for that purpose. This element is blithe and free, always flitting from one thing to another and generally filled with uplifting thoughts. You can harness this energy to boost your mood.

For this spell, you'll need some small symbols of air. Bells, clear crystals, wind chimes, spinners, and feathers all work well. You can also use figurines or pictures of air icons such as birds or clouds. These may be hung one at a time, strung onto cords to form long chains, or fastened together with rods to make a mobile. If you hang wind chimes or other decorations with a paddle to catch the breeze over an air vent, they will move. As you hang each one, say:

"Creature of air,
So bright and fair,
Lift my thoughts on high.
East and the dawn,
Carry me on
To the happy sky."
