Finding Inner Peace

Sometimes we need to find a space of inner peace away from the stresses and strains of the everyday world. It can be rough out there; this is a fact. We need a calming center to recuperate.

Be sure your home is a place of calm and quiet. The loud, continuous rumbling and ear-shattering noises of the everyday world should be replaced with the quiet tones of soft music, a water fountain, or whatever makes you feel relaxed.

Smell is also important. What smell do you associate with home and relaxation? Lavender? Sandalwood? Use oils or incense.

Finally, turn off the TV and log out of Facebook. Find a book that takes you to those magical places that fill you spiritually or emotionally with happiness, or maybe that book that takes you on adventures to faraway places.

The mundane does have its magical side. All you have to do is look for it.
