Light green peridot is one of the gems associated with August. This gem has been honored for its beauty and magical qualities for centuries. Cleopatra's "emeralds" may have actually been peridots. Magically, peridots have a reputation for warding off evil, bringing calm, and preventing nightmares. This peridot dream spell will aid in bringing peaceful sleep.

Obtain a small, uncut peridot from a gem shop. Sometimes they're sold in collections of several stones. They're inexpensive. Bless your peridot and ask it to help you with your dreamwork. Before bedtime, burn a pale green candle, and write down anything that you think may be causing you to have nightmares. Hide the paper and snuff out the candle. Place the peridot beneath your pillow. Visualize the peridot protecting you, surrounding you with a green light as you fall asleep.
