Your Deepest Desires

Color of the day:  Scarlet
Incense of the day:  Cinnamon

We work, worry, pay bills, and make appointments. When we're busy, it's usually our most intimate undertakings that get pushed aside-relationships neglected, creativity abandoned, self-care lost.

Today, take care of the mundane details of your life and make space for dreamtime. Take your lunch to a quiet spot, leaving the work crew or your family behind. If you work outside the home, use your commute time to get in touch with your deepest desires. Ask yourself:

"What is my heart's desire?"

Listen carefully to what arises. Ask:

"Where will I plant these seeds?"

Identify a half-hour slot in your day when you could regularly invest in your dreams. When the seed is planted, our deepest desires grow. Next year you could have a completed manuscript, written in half-hour increments at lunch, or a healing daily meditation practice, undertaken completely on public transit. Today, seed your deepest desires.
