Autumnal Airing

Color of the day:  Green
Incense of the day:  Balsam

Perhaps there is no able-bodied person in your immediate household to do heavy lifting or climbing. Make the annual fall clean-up a family affair. When the younger relatives arrive, distribute the chores and tools. Many hands make light work. Clean the front yard, back yard, patio, and porch. Wash the windows, inside and out, and clear away any cobwebs in high and low corners. Dust the ceiling fans and chandeliers, and move the furniture for a thorough vacuuming. Wash all the linens, both table and bed. Run little-used bakeware, utensils, and glassware through the dishwasher.

In no time, your domicile will be sparkling. Have the elders prepare the meals, and gather everyone together to break bread. Serve a light meal at lunch to fortify everyone for the remainder of the day and a heartier repast when all is done. An alternative might be to accomplish all of the above for a member of your community who is in need of assistance.
