The Gift of Giving

Color of the day:  Turquoise
Incense of the day:  Balsam

Every year a few weeks before Christmas, it was tradition for my grandmother to create magick. She would set up a folding table in the spare room and wrap gifts. How special to watch as the tower of gifts grew! Much love and affection went into the decorative and clever wrapping she fashioned.

Should you wish to start such a tradition, or if this is currently a part of your holiday preparations, be sure to cleanse your workspace properly before you begin. Wash or wipe down the table or counter with a saltwater mixture. Smudge the room, the gifts, and the wrappings with sage. Play holiday music and perhaps allow yourself a glass of your favorite winter libation.

Although this may not seem like a traditional spell, when you are done, relax and close with cakes and ale.
