POSTED UNDER Lammas, Rain

First Harvest

Color of the day:  Topaz
Incense of the day:  Honeysuckle

Lammas is the traditional first harvest, when the early wheat was baked into loaves. Instead of harvesting wheat today, harvest what you've "grown" so far this year.

Set a tiny sheaf of wheat or other grain or something else that signifies harvest on your altar and cast your circle. Think about what's been happening in your life this year. Consult your journal or maybe old emails. What metaphorical seeds did you plant earlier this year? What has grown?

Shuffle your favorite tarot deck and draw one card for each month so far. If you like, draw major arcana cards for February, March, May, and June and minor arcana cards for January, April, and July. Lay them in a row and do a personal reading. Then draw one more card. This is a pointer to your potential future. What might come to you in the next two harvests this year?
