Invoking the Divine

Color of the day:  Gray
Incense of the day:  Neroli

Long weekends stretch out luxuriously, like a time warp. We can slow down and savor them. But for many of us, this is the last long weekend of summer. Tomorrow the kids go back to school, and we will have to shift gears suddenly and get up to speed quickly. Today, let's choose to invoke the divine. Let's let go of the need to control, make, or do. Let's release worry and anxiety, and just trust.

Grab a paper and pen. Taking no more than five minutes, write down everything you are worried about. What you need to do and remember. Lists. Tomorrow's stuff. Your fears and anxiety.

When everything is recorded, fold the paper. Place it on your altar (in a box, if you have one) and say:

"I invoke the divine. I release
these worries to Higher Order.
Goddess, this is in your hands."

Now go out and enjoy this spectacular last hurrah of summer.
