Drawing your birth chart on a ritual veil is a wonderful way to get to know your astrology better. Choose a lightweight cotton-blend scarf and, using a t-shirt pen, begin by carefully drawing the wheel of the zodiac. Using your chart as a reference, mark each zodiac, planet, and house relationship. Be sure to include aspects such as conjunctions, trines, squares, and oppositions.

When your veil is complete, anoint it with orange flower water or oil. Bless it in the sunlight and moonlight of your birthday. This will charge it completely with your astrological energy signature, creating a star print. Veils are great tools for remote healing or red tent work. When worn ceremonially, this shroud can help us to better carry the weight of our karma. Such veils can also become treasured heirlooms for our families and coven members, should they wish to honor or remember us after we have passed on.
