Protective Bug Repellent

Oh no, it's mosquito season! There are many natural ways to ward off these little bloodsuckers besides using chemical-laden commercial repellents. Many herbs that ward off mosquitoes also, coincidentally, possess protective qualities, according to folklore. This herb bundle is a mild mosquito repellent and a protection spell all in one.

Before going out hiking or camping, gather a bundle of some or all of these pest-resistant herbs: citronella leaves, marigold flowers, lemon balm, catnip, lavender, peppermint, rosemary, or basil.

Tie the herb bundle with a white thread. Wipe the fragrant bouquet of herbs all over your skin and clothing so that the herbal scent is all over you. As you do so, visualize white light everywhere that it touches you until you are completely surrounded in protective energy. Guard yourself against mosquitoes and the negative energy of unhappy campers all at once.
