POSTED UNDER Spring, Summer, Sun, AND MORE

Ending Daylight Saving Time Meditation

Color of the day:  Yellow
Incense of the day:  Heliotrope

Last spring we pushed the clocks forward an hour. Over the summer months this gave us more time for our crops and magickal work in the sunlight. This period ends today, as we prepare to fall back—by turning the clocks back an hour.

Go outside or near a window (depending on the weather) to reflect. Sit in a comfortable position on the ground or floor, preferably. Breathe slowly and evenly. Focus your eyes softly inward, to the center of your forehead. Visualize the warmth of the sunlight collecting in this spiritual energy center. Soak in light with every breath. Breathe in and feel sunlight permeate your being. Breathe out and come to appreciate and understand the power of darkness. Feel warm, comforted, and ready to go forward, lit by the fire within.
