Elemental Tarot

Color of the day:  Crimson
Incense of the day:  Nutmeg

Separate out the suits of your favorite tarot deck to create four piles:

Pentacles—Earth
Swords—Air
Wands—Fire
Cups—Water

Alternately, use whichever elemental associations work best for you.

Before shuffling each pile, close your eyes and ask how best to work with each element in regard to your question/situation, then draw a card. For this reading, think of upright and reversed cards as turning the volume either up (upright) or down (reversed) in regard to a particular energetic expression. For example, if you interpret the Two of Pentacles as balance in earth matters, then upright could suggest a need for more balance, while reversed could indicate the benefit of shaking things up. Weave together the messages of all four cards to get full-spectrum guidance on how best to approach your current situation.

Optional: Draw a major arcana card to explore what life lesson this experience is helping you to learn.
