Purify and Balance

Color of the day:  Orange
Incense of the day:  Juniper

Two common kitchen herbs can make purifying your personal space very simple and also bring balance to your environment. Rosemary is associated with the Sun and the element of fire, and thyme is associated with Venus and the element of water. The combination of these two herbs represents a balance of projective and receptive energies—masculine and feminine. In addition, in this spell you’re applying heat to water, another way the two elements are blended.

Add equal parts of dried rosemary and dried thyme to a cheesecloth bundle or tea bag. Steep the bag of dried herbs in hot water for five minutes. While the infusion is steeping, chant this phrase and stir the water briefly in a clockwise manner three times:

Water and fire, your balance I require.

Allow the water to cool, then pour it into a spray bottle and use it to mist any place that needs clearing and balance. Visualize negativity being dispelled as you spray the mist. Dispose of the steeped herbs.
