A Light for Those We've Lost

Color of the day:  White
Incense of the day:  Clary sage

It’s Memorial Day here in the US, and that means it’s time to remember those we have lost as a result of active military service. No matter where you live, chances are someone you know has experienced loss due to war or combat, so here is a little spell to guide the lost back home.

Light a red candle in the north and recite these words:

Lost to the living but not from
our hearts, I light this flame
to guide all your parts.
Have peace in mind and no
longer worry; peace in soul,
rest, there’s no hurry.
Your war is over, no battles to win,
by this candle the veil is thin.
Come home, soldier, if you’ve
been lost, you’ve fought all
you can and paid the cost.

Allow the candle to safely burn out on its own.
