POSTED UNDER Charm, Moon

Powerful Number 13

Color of the day:  Silver
Incense of the day:  Lily

Today is the 13th day of the month. The number thirteen gets a bad rap for many reasons, but for Witches and believers in the occult, the number thirteen is a powerful number. In traditional Witchcraft, it is the number of people in a coven. It is also the usual number of full moons in a year.

As the moon is in its waxing phase right now, let us call forth the power of the coming full moon with this simple charm. You will need a white candle in a fireproof candleholder.

This evening, light your candle and say:

Thirteen Witches gather round,
Singing, chanting, drawing
the moon down.
In the night by candlelight,
My hopes, dreams, and
wishes take flight.

You can also use this charm when the moon is full.
